In partnership with the International Council of Visitors, the World Affairs Council of Rhode Island is pleased to invite you for an afternoon tour of Newport’s Belcourt Castle.  As Richard Morris Hunt’s most unique architectural masterpiece, Belcourt Castle was built for Oliver Belmont and thirty of his prize horses. Alva Vanderbilt divorced William Kissem Vanderbilt and left her beloved Marble House to become the mistress of Belcourt Castle. Read more
